Clover Hill Vintage Brut 2000 ‘ROYAL LABEL’
Tasmania’s own Princess, Princess Mary of Denmark, is a huge Clover Hill fan. Princess Mary requested the current release (Vintage Brut 2000 at that time) to be customised appropriately in Danish with a Royal Label, to be served at her 2004 Royal Wedding. This personalised front label depicting joined love hearts with the text “On the occasion of H.K.H Crown Prince Frederick & Miss Mary Donaldson’s wedding on May 14, 2004”
Clover Hill Vintage Brut 1996
Each sparkling in the Clover Hill vintage collection requires a minimum time on yeast lees:
- Vintage Brut – on lees for a minimum of 36 months
- Cuvee Exceptionnelle – on lees for a minimum of 48 months
- Cuvee Prestige ‘Late Disgorged’ – on lees for a minimum of 120 months
Occasionally our winemakers try something really special, as they did with our 1996 Clover Hill Vintage Brut. This unique sparkling wine was allowed to rest peacefully in our tirage cave for 240 months, and the resulting sparkling is truly amazing.
