We are on a quest to perfect the Clover Hill style – expressive of place and varietal combination, delivering consistency and pure enjoyment.
Though inspired by French Champagne heritage, our Tasmanian sparkling house has evolved a style based on the unique conditions of Pipers River terroir. Clover Hill has developed a collection of sparkling wines known for boutique excellence, prestigious Australian and international awards, and critical acclaim.
Taking its name from the 58 hL large format French oak vessels the wine matures in, this Multi-Vintage Cuvee Foudre shows the true delights of oak aged Chardonnay. A light golden hue in the glass with a toasty and brioche filled nose leads to sea spray, flinty minerality and citrus fruits on the palate. The use of large format oak allows the varietal characteristics of Chardonnay to shine with a supporting role played by Pinot Noir adding volume to the mid palate.
