Clover hill RECEIVES SILVER at the 2019  Tasmanian tourism awards

During a wonderful evening at the Wrest Point Casino in Hobart, Clover Hill Wines was awarded silver for the Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category, in the 2019 Tourism Tasmania Awards.

Adam Torpy, CEO, expressed that “We are blessed with many wonderful attributes at Clover Hill. From the Northern Tasmanian landscape which we call home to our vineyard and cellar door, to a team of skilled winemakers crafting premium wines and of course the talented team at the cellar door offering our visitors an unforgettable experience. Clover Hill stays committed to delivering a unique cellar door experience that represents our amazing industry and sets a new benchmark for luxury wine destination tourism in Tasmania.”

This category in which Clover Hill featured recognises wineries, distilleries and breweries that offer a cellar door experience and create a significant contribution to tourism. Since it’s opening its doors in January 2018 the Clover Hill Cellar Door has seen over 30,000 visitors experience all that Clover Hill has to offer. “We wish to offer our visitors an experience tailored to their needs,” said Torpy. He goes on to explain the design of the space allows visitors to move around at their own leisure whether it be to enjoy a tasting with our friendly and educated staff or relax on the alfresco space while taking in the picturesque views of rolling hills and vines reaching across the Lebrina valley.

Tourism Industry Council Tasmania is a peak body representing the Tasmanian tourism industry. They promote the value of tourism and are key advocates on behalf of the Tasmanian tourism industry in which Clover Hill is a part.

The winner of the category was Bangor Vineyard Shed. We congratulate them on this fantastic achievement and wish them good luck in the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, in which they have progressed.

We encourage all that have not yet had the opportunity to visit the Clover Hill cellar door to join us and experience it for yourself.
